Please note, we are not affiliated with the new group registered under a similar name. We are an emergency resource-focused, grassroots community group that has been in operation since 2018 that has hosted several pride events for the LGBTQIA+ community in previous years. We are committed to continuing our work in the community, and are disappointed by this attempt at erasure of our history. It is unlikely that even we were the first group in our county to celebrate pride in Garrett County, Maryland. To claim so discredits our predecessors and the quiet queer history embedded in our community.
